CDCM® is the earned credential that recognizes the highest standard in Alzheimer's Disease and Dementia Care education and Dementia Unit Manager Certification for those health care professionals that oversee, manage and supervise the day to day operations of dementia units. The National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners exists to establish credentialing mechanisms in Alzheimer's Disease and Dementia Care education and certifications for those health care professionals working directly with Alzheimer's Disease and dementia patients.

This is part two portion of the CDCM® training. Part one requires that you complete the CADDCT seminar to become a Certified Alzheimer's Disease and Dementia Care Trainer CADDCT. This portion of the CDCM® training will take place via conference call and is a 3-hour conference call that takes place Monday through Friday between the hours of 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. EST. If you are approved to move forward with the CDCM® class, a mutually agreeable time will be arranged.

The entire seminar (CADDCT and CDCM® class) includes CADDCT materials which include; (memory stick PowerPoint curriculum, overhead copies, master hand out a notebook, textbooks, DVD, employee pre-test and post-tests, sample brochure, sample sign-in sheet, sample certificate, marketing information, and CEU information, certification as a Certified Alzheimer's Disease and Dementia Care Trainer CADDCT and Certification as a CDP®). The CDCM® portion of the class includes; (CDCM Dementia Unit Policy & Procedure Manual which includes, Dementia Unit Best Practices, Dementia Unit Manager Job Description, Admission and Discharge Agreement and Policy, etc.,)  and Certified Dementia Care Manager® CDCM® certification. 

You must submit the CADDCT application with your CDCM® application at the same time as applying for the CADDCT class. If you have already completed the NCCDP CADDCT class and wish to move forward with the CDCM® portion, please complete only the CDCM® application.
