Lynn Biot-Gordon is a licensed clinical social worker with a Bachelors's degree in psychology and a master of social work degree from Boston University. Her social work experience spans 30+ years and includes mental health, hospice, long term care, and school social work. She has served in the areas of administration, direct practice, health education, and clinical supervision. She founded Gordon Social Work Consultants in 1997 to provide consultation services for long-term care facilities which include training and in-services on a variety of topics for residents, families, and health care staff.

Sandra has over 20 years in long term care. Her experience is as a Corporate Activity Consultant, Corporate Dementia Unit Consultant, Regional Activity Consultant, Assistant Administrator, Dementia Unit Coordinator / Manager, Activity Director, Activity Consultant, National Speaker, Corporate Trainer, Regional Activity Director, In-Home Recreation Therapist, Support Group leader, and Author. She is active on numerous boards. Sandra is the founder of the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners, International Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners, and Alternative Solutions in Long Term Care.

She has worked in a variety of long-term care settings, adult daycare, boarding homes, residential facilities, assisted living, nursing homes. Sandra was a volunteer speaker and Support Group Facilitator for Alzheimer's Association for At Home With the Arts Program (in-home recreation therapy).

She is a Corporate Activity Consultant and Corporate Dementia Unit Consultant to several national chains.

Sandra is also a consultant to facilities that wish to implement dementia units or survey readiness in the area of Activities and or Dementia Units.

She is the author of several books and publications dealing with pet therapy, volunteer management, dementia unit policy and procedures, in-services, etc. She has authored numerous articles dealing with long term care issues, Alzheimer's Disease & dementia care units, and dementia-related topics.

Sandra is a Certified Dementia Practitioner, Certified Dementia Care Manager, Certified First Responder Dementia Trainer, Certified Dementia Support Group Facilitator, Certified Assisted Living Administrator, Certified Activity Director, Activity Consultant Board Certified, Life Replay Specialist, and Certified Online Training Professional.

Sandra has been nominated for numerous awards and honored with several awards in the health care industry.

She was a founding member of NJAVA and is a member of NAAP and NCCAP.

She has served on numerous boards and currently is appointed to NAAP Advisory Board Member and Professional Patient Advocate Institute Board Member and currently serving on TSA Disability.

Sandra served on the panel 2012-2013 for the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Bureau of Health Professions In Support of the National Alzheimer's Project Act.

Sandra is a member of the Abuse-Deterrent Coalition.
