In the year 2011, begins the senior population explosion. For the next 60 years, the number one diagnosis in the elderly will be dementia. There are over 60 kinds of dementia, reversible and nonreversible dementia. The number one dementia diagnosis will be Alzheimer's Disease. The National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners recognizes the urgent need to educate health care professionals, First Responders, and the community on all aspects of dementia care and is committed to providing dementia education and certifications in the area of dementia care.
If you would like to make a contribution to the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners for scholarships to be used for those individuals who would like to attend the Alzheimer's and Dementia training but are unable to due to cost, the contribution will be used to cover the scholarship costs.
